Yes! A lot of the work I do is with new RIA owners. I often help them with setting up processes, technology, marketing approach, and just getting acclimated to the business side of running an RIA.
Yes! You may have a lot of things figured out, but if you feel like you're struggling with certain aspects of operations and/or marketing, I often help seasoned advisors as well.
If you're feeling burnt out and overworked, this could be a sign to get some help, or if you find yourself wrestling with your tools and technology more than you spend time serving clients. It might be worth getting some help optimizing your setup. If you find yourself reinventing the wheel every time you onboard a new client, we can fix that. If you feel like you're chasing every new shiny tool, tech, or marketing tactic and don't know how to filter it all down to a strategy that works for you, we can work on that.
Nope! My primary business is running my RIA and being a full-time financial advisor. I'm in the trenches every day doing this work.
The short answer is because I enjoy it. My primary business is running an RIA. It's definitely my full-time "job." And I love it, but I also find that my background and skill set is a good fit for helping other advisors with operations and marketing. And I naturally enjoy teaching and helping others. And it's hard for me to do anything half way, so since I find myself supporting other advisors anyway, I formalized it into a consulting firm. It's also a good place to do other creative projects like building apps.
I think it also makes me a better advisor because I'm constantly working on my own business, and this translates into resources that can help others.
